Xiaomi will release 3 new models in 2020 (and the local market version), including the new Xiaomi scooter Pro 2 (international name: Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2). The German version is already sold in local retail stores. The international version has been published on the Xiaomi website. So let's take a look at the new model and its comparison:

At first I thought that the new Pro 2 would only be suitable for the German market, but when you compare the pictures, there are 2 versions of Mi Electric Scooter Pro 2: German version Pro 2 and Xiaomi Scooter 1S have 3 versions. The main difference: speed The limit is 20 km/h, 2 brake levers, and a number plate on the rear fender (regulated by law). At the same time, this has been confirmed because the German version of Xiaomi Scooter Pro 2 has been sold in German retail stores for 549 Euros (689 USD).

I'm not sure if there are 2 international versions, one with a new rear fender and reflector, and a Chinese version. I have seen 3 versions of Mi Scooter 1S: International, German and Chinese.

Therefore, the Mi Scooter Pro 2 has a new international version, but what is the difference compared with the current Pro version? Spoiler alert: not much.

Pro 2 seems to be an improved version of the existing model, and has solved some problems: wiring, cooling, etc. The only visible difference is the rear fender (which also caused problems for the Pro 1 model), and the international version seems to use a fender designed for the German version. The fender provides space for the license plate ( Please see the picture in the box above). But this is different from the German version because the second brake lever is missing from the image on the box.

Driving mode/display

The difference between Mi Scooter Pro 2 and Pro 1 is hard to find. The minor changes are the display and driving modes. Pro provides an ECO mode with a minimum speed of 15 km/h; Pro 2 has a pedestrian mode of 5 km/h.

Illuminator and reflector

The headlights are upgraded from 1W LED to 2W LED. The taillights have also changed. The international version now uses the same fenders as the German version, which has brighter taillights and can be fitted with license plates. The Mi Scooter Pro is also equipped with reflectors on all sides, which is necessary in many countries.

Mi Scooter Pro 2 is the successor of Mi Scooter Pro. There are no major updates, just some internal improvements. There will be two versions: an international version and a German version. Both will have a rear fender that can accommodate a license plate. In addition, the German version is also equipped with a second brake lever with a speed limit of 20km/h.

Mi Scooter 1S is the successor of Mi M365. There are some major changes to this new model. The Mi Scooter 1S will provide a display screen (not provided by M365), and it will use the Pro version of disc brakes (M365 disc brakes are smaller and easier to bend). German and international versions will also be available.
